Hi guys! It’s Sandi and in today’s video I’ll be sharing a nail design that I did during a live tutorial on my Facebook page. You guys helped me design this manicure during the live video and today I recreated it and turned it into YouTube video for you guys.
So let’s get started with a base coat. Use a thin layer over all of your nails to help protect them from staining and chipping. Base coats also help keep your nails strong and durable. For the pinky finger, paint it using two coats of black polish.
Then using a light candy pink, dip a dotting tool into it and add polkadots over the nail. Keep the polkadots in neat rows for best results. Next up is the ring finger. Begin with two coats of a white base and let it dry completely.
Then using a porous makeup sponge, add a stripe of a light turquoise polish with a stripe of the light pink next to it. Quickly sponge this over your nail with the pink on the tip of the nail. Re-add the colors and sponge a second time to get it opaque.
Finally clean up around the nail. On the middle finger, begin by painting it with the light pink. Then add some spots over the nail using the turquoise polish. Use a toothpick or a dotting tool and black polish to add C shapes around the spots to turn them into leopard print.
Finally add in some small black spots using a dotting tool or a toothpick. I chose to use both to get two different sizes. For the index finger, start with the light pink base again. Once that’s dry, dip a big dotting tool into the turquoise polish, press it onto the nail, then lift up slightly and drag it up to the tip of the nail.
This will give you that perfect paint drip. Continue on, using different sized dotting tools if you want, and then connect all the drips together using curved lines. Fill in the tip. Then I’m adding one little paint drop near the cuticle.
On the thumb, begin by painting it pink again! Then use your top coat over all of your nails. This will smooth out the surface of your manicure, help it to dry quicker, and it will add a glossy shine. The last step is to take some nail glue and add a drop of it on the middle of your thumb nail.
Then using some 3d nail bows, I’ll link where I got these in the description box, add one to the nail. Adjust it until you’re happy with the position of it and then press it down into the glue. I hope you enjoyed this cute and colorful tutorial! If you give this design a try, then please share your recreations with me on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram using the hashtag #cutepolish.
Take care and I’ll seeya next time!
