Hi everyone! Here’s the girly nail art I’m gonna show you Ideal for everyday! I’ve made roses with watercolor I love this paint for the fineness of its trails and smoothness of its colors. On my middle finger, I make a water marble pastel I took tap water but if you want better results, use demineralized water available in supermarkets.
I protect my nails with adhesive tape. This method is easier and quicker according to me I don’t really like the trending method of the moment consisting of applying liquid latex or tubed glue to protect the fingers.
I find this useless. Well, it’s my opinion. Then I apply droplets of my varnishes one after the other in the water until it stretches well. Then I will spread my water marble like this. Here, I choose to make a marbled design I draw random designs like this.
I don’t want to draw something precise I would have resulted into a bulky effect relative to the design I’ll sketch later. I dip my finger where it is more beautiful then I clean with a little stick.
I remove my finger and I remove the tape Then I scratch with a small stick before it dries to eliminate 80% of the varnish that has overflown. Finally, I clean up with brush and acetone. I propose you to watch all my water marble tricks in this video I have done on purpose.
Then, I apply a bit of top coat on my nail and I sprinkle with the EF Exclusive blue straws. You can do it directly on the water marble if it is not dry. then I use a pretty awesome topcoat with pink pigments I apply it over to protect my manicure.
It creates a beautiful pink and blue effect on my nail. For the base of the watercolor roses, I’ve used white then I sprinkled blue and mixed white glitters. Then I added two coats of semi-permanent topcoat because it is easier to polish semi-permanent than varnish.
Note that varnish to can be polished too. I really advise you to use this nail buffer block. It is awesome for watercolor because it has the perfect grain and it will perfectly polish your nail making the watercolor stick very well.
The nail base preparation is the most important. Your nail has pretty well polished in every corner and really matte Don’t use any nail file else it will leave traces and it will be bad for the watercolor Then degrease your nail with alcohol.
I then chose different pink watercolors. Now you’ll need the detail and rounded brush to fade out. With very a diluted watercolor, I draw the outlines of my rose. Here I am drawing my rose I draw the petals that cross themselves If you struggle while drawing the rose, you can search a model on Google.
Search for the drawing of a rose like this one. This should help you. Then I filled each petal with different tones of pink. Sometimes it can be neon, fuchsia or purple. I apply my watercolor in the inner part of the petal.
I add some water then I fade the color. Here you can I see here, I mix a bit of blue and purple and apply it. Then I add water and I clean my brush. Then I absorb the watercolor in order to fade it. I will do that for each petal while varying the colors in order to get different tints.
I do the same thing on the other rose. After that, I mixed the watercolor with a bit of black in order to get darkened tint. Then I make all the borders of the petals. Note that the outlines should be done very thin or it won’t look great.
I redo all the borders. Don’t do neat and straight lines, or it won’t look natural at all! Then, I took white acrylic paint and I will redo the outside part of the petals. Your strokes don’t have to be straight and neat Make them thin and thick at times.
So that the rose looks natural. I chose acrylic paint to prevent the watercolor from overflowing The acrylic paint is much more opaque than the watercolor. Then with my detail brush, I will draw a spiral.
I will retake a bit of pink watercolor and fade it very softly so that I appear like a smoky spiral. Then with my dotting tool, I will add some white droplets. Finally, I apply a semi-permanent topcoat because it will protect it best! You can also apply two coats of Poshé topcoat But as I knew I had a lot of housework, I applied only one semi-permanent coat.
