in today’s tutorial i’m going to be showing you how to create this really easy and gorgeous princess elsa design from frozen. begin with a base coat to protect your natural nails. this will help prevent staining and it will also adhere the polish to your nail.
to do the ombre nails, paint your nails with a light blue polish. this will need two or three coats depending on the opacity of the polish you are using. next take a medium blue polish and paint the corner of a makeup sponge with it.
then sponge it onto the very tip of your nail. once the the color is solid at the tip, begin sponging upwards to create a gradient. quickly take a very fine glitter polish and apply one coat over the ombre.
this will help blend the two colors together. finally take a chunky glitter polish and add it to the tip of the nail and you’re finished! for the elsa nail, begin by painting your nail white. use two thin coats and allow it to completely dry before moving on to the next step.
about 10 minutes. next you’re going to need some frozen temporary tattoos. i got these sheets online for a dollar each. you can find them on amazon or ebay, or you could check local toy stores. so today i’m going to go with this tattoo and cut out her head.
then i’m going to peel off the protective clear plastic and lay it on top of my nail. then take a wet cloth or cotton and place over the tattoo. gently press all over the nail and give it about 10 seconds to transfer.
remove it and you will be left with a perfect princess elsa on your nail! if you have any extra tattoo that goes beyond the tip of your nail, just gently pull it off. seal in all of your nail designs with a fast drying top coat.
this will quickly dry your nails and leave them with a beautiful shine! and that’s it! if you decide to give this elsa design a try, then please share your recreations with me on Facebook, instagram, and twitter using the hashtag #cutepolish! take care and ill see ya next time 🙂
