She’s going to teach me how to do a holiday glitter eye. Yes! A super chic sparkly eye that you can rock for the holidays. So, for the first step for this glitter eye, we want to prime the eyelid. So when you go to remove this glitter later you’re gonna have a much easier time.
So I’ll be using something that is just flesh tone using this little blending brush. So I’m just going to buff it all over the eye and lay it down a really nice space. Now you can really build anything on top.
Last longer throughout the evening. Maybe until the morning if you’re having a lot of fun! So, I’m starting with gold pigment. I’m actually wetting down just a little bit using a natural fiber brush. And I’m putting this from the lash line into the crease.
So I’m being really specific about my placement right now because this lays down the shape that I want to create later with my glitter. Now I’m just taking a fluffy brush and making sure that I’m really happy with the shape.
This has a little bit of that leftover eye primer to it. So as I’m carving out that shape, that lays down and reinforces that. Beautiful! I’m going to start to layer this lemonhead glitter. I’m using a small brush which is actually really helping my application.
When you add a bunch of glitter right towards that lash line it gives that added sparkly effect every time you blink. I think that alone actually is pretty fabulous. So this is even smaller fleck of glitter.
That I am pressing right into just the center of the eye. Think where the iris of the eye would be. It adds yet another layer of dimension. So last but not least, I’m going to be using a very large fleck of glitter to create almost, like, an eyeliner.
Look, first and foremost this teeny tiny brush is going to be my savior. It’s really amazing for lining the eye. So you can use your makeup setting spray to adhere these larger flecks of glitter. Just right at the lash line.
And it helps to make that lash line dance a little bit. It actually is a few minutes of playtime while it’s drying down so you can place these guys. And then move them around a little bit. And this takes some practice, but when you’re at home in your mirror, you can look straight ahead and then tilt your chin up while keeping your eyes in the same place and that’ll give you access to your eyelid.
You want to take a look? Yeah! Wow! Yes, wow I look great. So I have to say it was, like, a little bit nervous because I’m not such a glitter girl. But I really love it and I feel super festive for my upcoming holiday party.
I think you look fantastic. Thank you so much.
